Edward W. Brankey

Edward W. Brankey was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1978 and admitted to practice in the United States District Court in 1980. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1975 and his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1978. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association, The American Bankruptcy Institute, The American Bar Association, and is a Past President of Coles-Cumberland Bar Association. He is currently Board Certified in Consumer Bankruptcy Law by the American Board of Certification. He has authored numerous articles in publications such as the Illinois Bar Journal, Illinois Banker, American Business Law Journal, and Personnel Journal. He has also been a lecturer and a Chapter author for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education. His practice is currently limited to family-based immigration and bankruptcy. He has lectured and traveled extensively in the former Soviet Union having traveled there in excess of 50 times.

Rodney L. Smith

Rodney L. Smith is a principal in the law firm of Brankey & Smith, P.C. Mr. Smith was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1991 and in Minnesota in 1995. He is admitted to practice in the United States Central and Southern Districts of Illinois and also in the United States Seventh Circuit. Mr. Smith obtained his Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1991. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association. He is a member of the Workers Compensation Section of the Illinois State Bar Association and the Coles-Cumberland Bar Association. Mr. Smith has extensive practice in the areas of personal injury, workers compensation, and bankruptcy. He has argued in front of the Illinois Supreme Court. He has taught business law at Lake Land College for the past 15 years. Mr. Smith has extensive trial experience in Central and Southern Illinois and has won and settled personal injury and workers compensation in excess of several millions of dollars over the years. He has lectured on the topics of bankruptcy and workers compensation.

Charles F. Young

Charles F. Young was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1985 and admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central District of Illinois, in 2005. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University in 1975; his Master of Arts Degree from Indiana State University in 1976 and his Juris Doctor degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale in 1985. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association. His current practice areas include general negligence law, workers' compensation, and family law.

Roy Jackson Dent

Sarah D.
